Nuri Kahn, LMFT, is the clinical director of NW Family Psychology – Bainbridge Island. He is experienced in treating a wide array of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, attention and impulse control issues, phobias, adjustment difficulties and relationship challenges. Nuri is a licensed marriage and family therapist experienced working with children, adolescents and adults. His clinical approach is steeped in evidence-based practices and includes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, trauma-focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness practice and interpersonal psychotherapy.
Nuri is currently a doctoral candidate completing his final year of study in clinical behavioral health with specialization in the integrated treatment of comorbid behavioral and physiological health conditions. He specializes in behavioral interventions for patients struggling with a variety of issues including chronic illness, pain management, insomnia, generalized fatigue, functional limitations, health-related anxieties, and lifestyle choices that affect overall health.
Nuri is a member of the American Psychological Association and a clinical fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
