Judith Rutberg-Self, PhD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Specializing in Child & Adolescent Testing

Over the past 30 years, Dr. Rutberg-Self has specialized in child and adolescent testing, primarily for assessing learning and behavioral problems, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, autism, and complex mood disorders. These assessments are comprehensive in nature and involve intelligence, academic, personality, and neuropsychological batteries. Dr. Rutberg-Self also conducts classroom observations and consults with multiple parties, such as teachers, pediatricians, counselors, etc.

These comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations are often critical for generating the accommodations children and adolescents need in school, which can be implemented in IEP and 504 plans at the school. Dr. Rutberg-Self has worked extensively with private and public schools, and has received advanced neuropsychological assessment training in children and adolescents at the University of Washington.

Due to the limitations of some insurance plans, Dr. Rutberg-Self only accepts non-commercial (private payments). Retainer contracts arranged via the school system, as well as private third party payors (e.g., attorneys) are also accepted. An invoice will be made available to her clients following the completion of testing to submit for reimbursement at the plan rate.
Dr. Rutberg-Self is currently accepting new testing clients at NW Family Psychology – Bainbridge Island office location. Contact our front desk to schedule a testing appointment today – 206-624-0271 or 360-692-3970.
