Jake Kim, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Jake earned his graduate degree from Columbia University (Master of Science), and was awarded a Fellowship with the NY State Office of Mental Health and Deans Consortium on Evidence Based Practice for adults with serious mental illness. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Bard college in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
Jake has worked with families and individuals at residential facilities, primary care clinics, evidence based research centers, internal medicine, and community clinics. He has been providing treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, eating disorders, and treating significant life transitions for several years.
Jake uses evidence-based practice modalities as well as older mind body practices to help achieve balance for his clients. He has practiced and taught meditation and martial arts for 25 years. He has also worked as an athletic trainer, boxing instructor, and personal trainer.
